Some uPVC doors will only have a mechanism to fit the Euro lock, whereas some doors will have a multipoint mechanism. The multipoint mechanism will typically have three bolts that add additional security to your door.
There may be an issue with the central part of your mechanism, or it can be faulty in the top or lower bolt. UPVC doors might also be misaligned and will need a small adjustment so they can be in full working order.

As your UPVC door is a most likely exterior door, we highly recommend replacing your Euro to at least British Standard lock. Your home insurance will not cover for a standard lock if you do not have additional locks. If you have a patio or garden door, you should also consider changing it to a British standard lock.
You can choose to have your lock key in both sides of the cylinders, or key and turner. We always recommend changing for key and turner, mainly because of fire hazard. If you are worried about young children opening your door, you can install additional security bolts on the top part of your door.
