HIGH SECURITY

Each Yale cylinder comes in one of 3 security level. Yale has both Rim and Euro cylinders available on the market.
The 3 levels are Standard, British standard or high security.

STANDARD- Standard Yale lock cylinder will typically have Yale imprinted on it. The cylinder will come in one of 4 finishes: Chrome, Satin, Brass, Polished Brass. Standard locks are very easy to slip open and are not covered by house and content insurance.

BRITISH STANDARD- British Strand Yale cylinder will have the British heart shape kite mark imprinted on them. The kitemark is usually imprinted on the plate of the lock. On some Euros, the kitemark may be found on the body of the cylinder, or near the turner at the back. British Standard cylinders also have a 1* star mark near the heart kite mark. British standard rim cylinders should be placed in a British standard night latch for insurance coverage and maximum security. Keys can be duplicated without the need for a key cutting card.

HIGH SECURITY- High security or maximum security cylinders will have a 3*** star rating near the heart Kitemark. High-security cylinders will have a security key cutting card with a serial number or a barcode. You will need this card or barcode when heading over to get your keys duplicated. High-security cylinders are covered by insurance companies and should be with British standard night latch or British standard Euro mechanism.
